These four Bears are being dramatically overlooked (and they shouldn't be)

The Chicago Bears have a chance to be one of the most underrated teams in the NFL this season after a disastrous year in 2024.

With that in mind, they have to have quite a few underrated individual players. Who are some names that are flying a bit under the radar?

Four most underrated Bears on the roster in 2025

Gervon Dexter

Gervon Dexter looked like he was going to be a breakout star last season, but it did not materialize after a strong start. One of the significant issues was Andrew Billings getting injured, which put all the attention on Dexter.

Not only will Billings be back, but the Bears added Grady Jarrett and Shemar Turner, two names who should make life easier for Dexter. If he puts a whole year together like his start to the 2024 season, he is in line for a breakout.

Braxton Jones

This is difficult to say, as he may end up losing his job due to injury, but Jones should be appreciated more by Bears fans. This is a player who started the past three years, coming straight out of Southern Utah on day three of the draft.

He was never an elite tackle, so fans will always want to replace him, but he has always been serviceable. If he does not win the job back, he should at least leave with fans respecting his career.

Kyler Gordon

Kyler Gordon should be viewed as one of the best slot cornerbacks in the NFL, but he does not quite get that recognition yet. Will he be able to garner some All-Pro recognition now that he is starting to establish his name? It may take one more year of strong play to elevate his name status to match his performance.

D.J. Moore

D.J. Moore had a poor season in 2024, and his mannerisms between plays did not help his status with fans. However, we have to remember how much of an outlier that is for everything else that we have seen from Moore in his career.

He became a fan favorite for his relentless play, and he continued to produce for years despite poor quarterback play. Moore deserves a little more benefit of the doubt from fans, as it could have been one bad year, and a new offense could bring the joy back out.
