With half the Divisional Round games complete, all eyes are on the Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams matchup to close out the playoff weekend.
One big factor going into the game is that it will be cold at Soldier Field in Chicago. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 20s and winds potentially hitting 20 miles per hour.
While commenting on the 41-6 blowout win for the Seattle Seahawks over the San Francisco 49ers on FOX, Tom Brady was asked about his thoughts on the Bears-Rams game. Brady seems to think that the Bears might have a big advantage over the Rams in one department.
“That really cold weather definitely plays to the advantage of the Bears. They have played in fridgit conditions for the last six, seven weeks of their season. We were up there a few times. We were freezing. It didn't really affect that offense very much, the Bears. They were running the abll so well. Caleb (Williams) scrambles when there's nothing there. He's got big time targets at all three levels. Ben Johnson always have a scheme play. It’s going to be a Herculean task for the Rams to go in there and win."
Tom Brady certainly sounds like he's predicting the Bears to win
Brady is right about the Bears having experience in the cold, as they have played in multiple games with freezing temperatures. The Bears have shown themselves to be resilient in the face of some tough weather facing them.
Los Angeles has not had that kind of experience this season, as they mostly play in a dome, and last week's matchup against the Carolina Panthers was not cold for them. They will have to adapt to the weather if they want to pull out a win.
Last year, in the Divisional Round, the Rams played the Philadelphia Eagles in cold, snowing conditions, resulting in a 28-22 loss. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is 1-9 when he plays in the conditions he's about to play in.
