He's been pretty good.

Most people who follow the Chicago Bears would think that either Rome Odunze or DJ Moore would be the top receiver on the team. Pro Football Focus disproves that theory after one game.

PFF writer Lauren Gray shared the data behind the top 32 highest graded wide receivers in Week 1. Only one Bears wide receiver made the list, ranking at number 14 was Olamide Zaccheaus.

"Zaccheaus was targeted six times on Monday night against theĀ Vikings, all from the slot. He hauled in four passes for 42 yards, gained two first downs, forced two missed tackles and averaged 5.5 yards after the catch per reception, with his longest catch going for 16 yards. Zaccheaus led the Bears in threat rate (23.1%) and paced all receivers in slot target rate (23.1%).

Half of his targets (three) came on conversion downs, and he made two catches on those plays for 19 yards and a first down. All of his receptions came from the short area of the field, where he earned an 82.7 PFF receiving grade (second best)."

Zaccheaus continues his impressive first few months with the Bears in 2025

Monday night's 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings was another reminder to the Bears of who they have in Zaccheaus. He finished the game with seven targets, catching four of them for 42 yards in the loss.

The Bears have looked at Zaccheaus as the one-year option at slot while rookie Luther Burden III learns the ropes of the NFL. There's never been any flashy with Zaccheaus, but even in Bears training camp, it was clear that he is a reliable target that quarterback Caleb Williams can trust to handle any pass in his direction.

Chicago will be hoping for more production from the other receivers as they have a critical showdown with the Detroit Lions in Week 2 on Sunday. Zaccheaus will be targeted more often again, with Moore and Odunze always attracting the full attention of the Lions' secondary.
