Updated Chicago Bears injury report for Week 11 sees Jaquan Brisker placed on IR
Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker has yet to practice since suffering a concussion against the Carolina Panthers on October 6. In recent weeks, there was speculation that Brisker may be ready to return for the team's Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers but after he was ruled out by Matt Eberflus on Wednesday, the team took a more decisive measure with the safety's status moving forward.
Brisker will now miss the next four games for the Bears with the hope that he could return during the final month of the regular season. However, given the direction the Bears are headed in, it would be fair to suggest that Brisker may not play again this season.
There will also need to be a discussion around Brisker's status with the Bears beyond this season. Over the course of his first three seasons with the Bears, Brisker has dealt with a concussion in each season. Each instance forced Brisker to miss multiple games.
Turning to the Bears' updated injury report for Week 11, it seems that both starting offensive tackles will be able to play on Sunday.
Both Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright were limited participants in practice for the second-consecutive day. Jones and Wright being healthy is the first step in the Bears' offense moving back in the direction they were headed in when they defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.
While Jones and Wright appear to be on track to play against the Packers on Sunday, it seems that Teven Jenkins is trending toward missing the game. If Jenkins' ankle injury forces him to miss Sunday's game, expect the guard combination to be Ryan Bates and Matt Pryor.
On the defensive side, outside of Brisker, all eyes are on the status of Montez Sweat. The Bears will need Sweat on the defensive line if they are to have any hope of upsetting the Packers on Sunday.
