The Bears outlast the Eagles in their preseason opener.  Starters play sparingly although Cutler led a touchdown drive.  Matt Forte was held to -3 yards and Jordan Lynch led the Bears rushing attack.  Jimmy Clausen connected to Chris Williams on a 73-yard bomb that would end up as the Bears longest pass play of the season.

The Bears overcome a slow start to notch a 20-19 comeback win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Was this another warning sign of things to come?  At the time, I thought the Jaguars were going to be a decent team this year when comparing them to the Bears.  I guess the teams weren’t far apart, but they were both just BAD.

The Bears get steamrolled 34-6 by the Seattle Seahawks in the all important “dress rehearsal” game.  While we rationalized it at the time, it was another big warning sign of things to come.

Johnny Football led the Cleveland Browns to a 33-13 win over the Bears.  The Bears decided to sit their first and second strings to keep everyone healthy for the upcoming season.
