Round 3

65.) Tampa Bay Bucs – S Cody Prewitt, Mississippi

The Bucs safeties were so bad last season that they were forced to start Major Wright for 7 games. Prewitt would have to be awful not to be an upgrade over Wright and Dashan Goldson, who was the 2nd worst safety in the league according to ProFootballFocus.

66.) Tennessee Titans – NT Ellis McCarthy, UCLA

The Titans run defense was a joke last season after their transition to a 3-4 scheme. The additions of McCarthy and Armstead would give the Titans two high upside players who could transform their run defense into a strength within a season or two,

67.) Jacksonville Jaguars – DE Preston Smith, Mississippi St

Both of the Jags starting DEs were effective last season, but both are also over 30 years old. They need some young blood off the edge and Smith is strong and polished enough to contribute as a rookie.

68.) Oakland Raiders – ILB Ramek Wilson, Georgia

Raiders MLB Miles Burris may have been the worst 4-3 MLB in the league last year, but Wilson could give Oakland the most talented young LB group in the league between Khalil Mack and Sio Moore.

69.) Washington Redskins – S Gerod Holliman Louisville

The Redskins safety combo of Ryan Clark and Brandon Meriweather may have been even worse than the Bears safeties. Holliman proved to be a playmaker with 14 interception after taking over for former 1st wrong pick Calvin Pryor. There are questions about his tackling ability which is why Holliman is still available this late but he will be a massive upgrade at free safety over Clark who might be the slowest safety in the league.

70.) New York Jets – QB Brett Hundley, UCLA

Geno Smith probably isn’t the answer at QB , so the Jets take the 2nd tier QB with the highest upside in Hundley. On paper he has all the tools to succeed, but his slow progressions and decision making will make it tough to survive at the next level.
