With less than a month left before the 2016 NFL Draft the Bears have been ramping up their prospect visits over the last few weeks. NFL teams can talk to as many draft prospects as they want during Pro Days, the Combine, any other college all-star formats, or workouts sponsored by the teams. The only limit put on NFL teams is that they can only bring a total of 30 players to their facilities for a private workout.

I’ve broke down the Bears official visits and private workouts (so far) below to give fans a better idea of who the Bears may be interested in for this year’s draft. I also gave a brief scouting report of each and my take on why the Bears may be interested in those players. There is a link to my first list of private workouts below and I will continue to update this list weekly until the draft.

Official Visits
*NFL teams have a maximum of 30 prospects they can bring in for an official visit. I’ll be updating this list weekly until the draft.
RB Ezekiel Elliott, Ohio St (6’0 | 225 | 4.42) – Best all around running back in the draft by far. Elliot has the most balanced skill-set of any college back since Adrian Peterson. He’s not the pure runner that AP was, but is better as a receiver and blocker. Elliot had an impressive career with the Buckeyes with 4,125 yards from scrimmage and 41 TDs in two seasons as a starter. He should be able to step in right away and has the potential to be a top-10 NFL running back.
Elliot may not be available when the Bears pick at 11, but even if he is I’d be surprised if the Bears draft a running back that early. They have a promising back in last year’s 4th round pick Jeremy Langford, but if they have doubts about Langford being a feature back or just think that Elliot is special and the best player available… Then the Bears could pull the trigger at 11 and be set at running back for years.
