WR Daniel Braverman, Western Michigan, Seventh Round (230th):

At 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, the Bears’ final draft pick, Daniel Braverman, has been compared to the likes of Wes Welker, Danny Amendola, and Julian Edelman. If this comparison is true, then Pace could have possibly gotten the steal of the entire draft.

Although he’s undersized, Braverman managed to finish his final year at Western Michigan with 108 catches for 1,371 yards and 13 touchdowns. What make those stats more amazing is the fact that he did it after tearing his ACL in 2013. In addition to his skills as a receiver, Braverman dabbled as a kick and punt returner for Western Michigan.

Being behind receivers Alshon Jeffery, Kevin White, Eddie Royal, Marquess Wilson, Marc Mariani, Josh Bellamy, and Deonte Thompson on the depth chart will only make it more difficult for Braverman to find time on the field. His competition for one of the return man spot could be against both Mariani and Thompson. Either way, taking a chance at a player this late in the draft who can put up numbers like this is worth it.
