Can Running Game Stay Productive?

The big story for the Bears’ offense has been their running game. Last week, Jordan Howard and rookie Tarik Cohen stole the show by rushing for a combined 216 yards and two touchdowns. The Howard-Cohen combo won’t be the first running back-by-committee the Packers will have faced this season. Green Bay’s run defense is ranked 21st in the NFL. In Week 2, Atlanta Falcons running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman rushed for a total of 126 yards against the Pack’s defense. The following week, the three-headed monster of Joe Mixon, Giovanni Bernard, and Jeremy Hill ran through Green Bay for 112 yards. With the running game carrying the majority of the load for the Bears’ offense, the Packers will definitely make stopping the run their number-one priority. With so much attention put on them, will Howard and Cohen be able to keep their production up on the ground?

We should keep an eye on Howard’s right shoulder as well.
