Can Offensive Line Keep Bengals’ Front Four at Bay?

As mentioned earlier, Long will not be on the Bears’ offensive front for the rest of the season, and the Bengals’ defensive line are licking their chops. Cincinnati is the fifth-best team in the NFL at this point at sacking the quarterback (34). Most of those sacks has come from defensive tackle Geno Atkins (seven) and defensive end Carl Lawson (7.5). Listed as questionable with a toe injury, we don’t know for certain if Atkins will be on the field. Regardless, Cincinnati’s pass rush is potent, and could definitely take advantage of a Bears offensive line that is without their best protector. If the Bengals can penetrate consistently, then we may see a lot of three-and-outs just like we did last week.
