The Chicago Bears had a surprisingly very good season last year, however it ended too early. This year the Bears have expectations on their shoulders from past success.

At this time last year few people expected much from the Bears. Fans were hoping for a season where the Bears could go 8-8 for the first time since 2013. Then the Bears traded for Khalil Mack and all of a sudden the team looked competitive.

The Bears had a very good year last year, but what matters now is what they do this season. Expectations was not a reason for pressure going into training camp last season. But there are some expectations now, so let’s take a look at 5 Bears that have something to prove this season.

5 The Kickers

The Chicago Bears still do not have a kicker for this season. They are currently holding Eddy Pineiro and Elliott Fry to vie for the competition. The Bears, who have looked for a kicker ever since Cody Parkey missed the game winning field goal last season against the Eagles, still have kickers competing for the position. I would not be surprised if Bears fans do not know who will be the starting kicker until the first game of the season.

Eddy Pinerio and Elliott Fry are both in the same position now, neither has separated themselves from the other in camp yet, but things could change soon. Both kickers spoke in the video below posted by the Bears.

I especially like what Elliott Fry said in the video:

"It doesn’t matter really what the other guys do if I can go out and make every kick… I have a good chance of being the guy"

We should be seeing both of the Bears potential kickers in the preseason games in a few weeks.
