Will Javon Wims and Riley Ridley Get More Playing Time?

Because of the depleted tight end position, and with wide receiver Taylor Gabriel ruled out with a concussion, Chicago’s offense may rely heavily on their wide receivers. It goes without saying that Allen Robinson II will be the main target in the passing game. In addition, Anthony Miller, who’s been pretty solid as of late, will get his chances to make plays. But what about the other receivers?

The last time Gabriel missed playing time this season, Javon Wims stepped in and got a good amount of playing time. Wims also played 45 snaps in last week’s win over the New York Giants. So the chance of seeing Wims is pretty high.

As for Chicago’s other University of Georgia product, rookie Riley Ridley will possibly see the field for the first time in his career. However, with Wims already having a good amount of snaps under his belt, and Cordarrelle Patterson being ahead on the depth chart, Ridley might see very few snaps, if at all.
