Chris Harris-Denver

Harris is, without a doubt, the best free-agent cornerback in the 2020 free-agent class. Currently, Harris is with the Denver Broncos and if the Broncos don’t successfully sign him, he will be one of the most sought-after free agents this coming offseason. Harris will also be one of the most expensive and might be just a bit out of the Bears’ reach.

More from Chicago Bears Free Agency

Harris has been in the league for nine years, all of them with Denver. He’s been quite productive, intercepting the ball 20 times. Harris has started 119 out of 137 games. Some of the honors that he has received during his career include being named to the Pro Bowl four times and the NFL’s All-Pro team once. Harris also made the all-rookie team in 2011.

Despite his age, Harris is still one of the best cornerbacks available and could come in and help the Bears out right away. Starting opposite Kyle Fuller, Harris would give the Bears a strong combination at cornerback and would help eliminate some of the mistakes made by Amukamara this season. It would be great if Chicago could get him and have him in the lineup.

Look for Harris to be the hottest cornerback out there on the market. The competition will be huge and the Bears might get priced out of signing Harris. Still, if there is a way that they can do it they should try hard to pick up the best cornerback in free agency and solidify what has become a sore spot on defense.
