 Tight End

Fans can be critical of the Matt Nagy offense, on top of Mitch Trubisky. The biggest issue is that we know for a fact that Nagy values the tight end position immensely. He has spoken about it at length. Andy Reid and Doug Pederson have had success with their tight end play.

However, despite a second-round pick and a free agent signing in Trey Burton, the Bears had some of the worst tight end play in the NFL.

It is almost impossible to say that Nagy was working with his bread and butter considering the personnel he had. A part of that he needs to be blamed for, but he also needs to make sure that he is not in this spot again next year.

The team is going to give Trey Burton a chance to get healthy, but Nagy wants two and potentially three options to see serious snaps at tight end. That means adding tight end in every avenue available. They have already added try out type players and are going to have to look far and wide to find an answer to this issue.
