Bears fans didn’t have to wait long to see how Robert Quinn would fit in with the defense. On the third play of Chicago’s first defensive series, Quinn strip-sacked Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, and Khalil Mack came up with the recovery. This turnover led to a Bears 34-yard field goal that gave the team a 10-0 lead early in the game.

Mack generated pressure throughout most of the game and recorded his first sack of the season, as well as Barkevious Mingo. Roquan Smith led the way with eight tackles, with one going for a loss. Smith also drew a personal foul flag for a hit on Jones while sliding feet first.
