Chicago Bears vs Rams: 5 Keys to a victory in Week 7

The Chicago Bears need to stretch the defense

The Niners did most of their damage against the Rams in the middle of the field. So the Rams may dare the Bears to run with light run boxes upfront. This would enable the Rams defense to tighten up their coverage in the area on the field where they got burned the most last week. The Bears have an answer for that even if they struggle with running the ball. That is to send their speedsters Mooney and Patterson on some deep routes.

Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller are also capable of stretching out a defense. It, regretfully, has to be said but none of this will gain traction for the Bears unless their offensive line holds up against the Rams pass rush. Rashaad Coward will line up at left guard and probably have to deal with Donald more than any other Bears blocker.

Coward is a big strong guy. Hopefully, he has learned from the many mistakes he made in his first start in a new position last week. The Donald-Coward matchup, obviously, favors Donald but maybe Coward can be a surprise in this game.
