Joseph Herff’s Chicago Bears Mock Draft 3.0

The Chicago Bears 2020 NFL season seems to be just about over. After a fifth-straight loss to the Green Bay Packers, the Bears have now dropped below .500 for the first time this season. On top of that, the Chicago Bears looked downright embarrassing in every aspect of the game on Sunday night. Not only did the offense look bad, but the defense got dismantled by Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ offense.

Nevertheless, the Bears will likely retool in every aspect after this season. Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace will be canned and the Bears will either go into full rebuild or a quick rebound with their defensive starters all returning next season outside of Tashaun Gipson, who is replaceable.

Whether or not the Bears will be competing next season, it is vital they hit on this upcoming 2021 NFL Draft. They haven’t had a first-round pick since star inside linebacker Roquan Smith and they have a good amount of picks. They need to utilize these to not only build for the future but also select immediate impact players.

The top needs for the Bears entering the offseason according to The Draft Network are OT, QB,  IDL, WR, and IOL. Clearly, they also believe that the Bears need to rebuild their entire offense (outside of David Montgomery/Tarik Cohen). I used The Draft Network for this mock draft to change it up and get a different player pool/aspect. Both Mock Draft 2.0 and Mock Draft 1.0 were used on a different site.

This mock draft was conducted via The Draft Network NFL Mock Draft Machine using their player rankings as well. [Editor’s note: Bears are actually picking 14th overall now, but the mock was done prior to the loss last night]
