Chicago Bears: Trading back in NFL Draft leads to a retooled offense

Chicago Bears Draft: Round 2, Pick No. 64 via TB
Much like Jenkins, Kellen Mond has shot up NFL Draft boards after the season has ended. Earlier, Mond was looked at as a fifth-round draft pick and now he is even discussed in the back-end of the first round. The four-year starter is expected to be a second-round draft pick now. Mond ranks as the sixth-best quarterback in the class on my NFL Draft Big Board.
Mond has started for the Aggies since his freshman year. He struggled early on but has steadily improved every season. His completion percentage went up every season from 51.5% to 63.3% his senior season. Mond is Texas A&M’s all-time leader in passing touchdowns, passing yards, completions, attempts, and total offense.
Mond struggled with trying to do too much early in his career and he slowly adapted to learning he needs to manage the game better. He has the physical traits to take over a game with his dual-threat capability and his strong arm, but Mond needs to work on multiple things before that is the case. He needs to likely sit a season or two before he can be a capable starter in the NFL.
With Mond needing to sit, he would be a perfect fit in Chicago. Andy Dalton is a capable starter and with Dalton and Nick Foles both in the room, they both have the experience to help a young quarterback grow. Many compare Mond to Colin Kaepernick and Dak Prescott.
