One analyst predicts the Chicago Bears trade up for a quarterback

Out of the 17 analysts reviewed, only one of them is predicting the Chicago Bears select a quarterback in the first round. My guess is that most believe there is not going to be one that falls worth taking at 20 and not even close enough to 20 to trade up without selling the farm.

The only analyst who predicted the Chicago Bears landing a quarterback is Chad Reuter of          NFL.com. Reuter has Mac Jones falling to 11th in the draft and this is when he predicts the Bears0trade up with the New York Giants. The predicted trade was the Giants sending the 11th-overall pick to the Chicago Bears for the 20th-overall pick, the Bears third-rounder (83rd) and a 2022 first-rounder.

With the 49ers trading up to the third-overall pick, most believe the first three picks will be a quarterback. Many even believe that the top-five quarterbacks are likely to be selected within the first 10 picks. In Reuter’s predicted mock draft, Jones does not go within the first 10 picks despite many believing he is the quarterback the 49ers plan on selecting with the third pick.

One down and 14 more analysts to go.
