Justin Fields believes Chicago Bears history, tradition, and pride are unmatched

Now, I know it is protocol for draft picks to say they’re excited to play for their new team. A lot of that is just kind of business talk. But, with that, it seems like Justin Fields truly is excited to be in Chicago. Hell, he’s a talented quarterback that has the ability to change a multi-decade-long quarterback narrative. I’d be excited, too!

Another thing that helps is the fact that the fans already seem ready to accept Justin Fields with open arms.

"“Just the tradition here, the history here, the pride here in Chicago is unmatched. I just love the energy already. I’m glad to be a Bear and glad to be a part of this great city and great organization. So, I’m excited.”"

Whether you’re a Bears fan growing up or not, it’s hard to deny that this team has rich history and tradition. As of late, the pride has been shaky on some fans, but after Day One and Day Two, it’s fair to say the pride is growing once again.

The lasting impressions after Fields’ first Chicago Bears press conference

So, to wrap things up, there are four major takeaways from Justin Fields’ introductory press conference with the Chicago Bears. The first, and arguably most important, is his ability to be a leader immediately. Along with that, he emulates a quarterback that Chicago had already fallen in love with before even getting.

With that kind of quarterback being the role model and being paired with a mindset of expecting the status of a franchise quarterback, success is likely to follow. The last main takeaway is that Justin Fields is excited to be on the Bears as a quarterback. That’s not necessarily the norm, but I’m confident that Bears fans will happily accept it.
