2. Trevor Penning, Northern Iowa

Trevor Penning is from a smaller school, but we just saw the Buffalo Bills draft Spencer Brown from Northern Iowa and he jumped into their starting lineup as a rookie when they needed him the most. The reputation of his teammate should do well for him, especially because many said Penning was the better of the two when Brown was there.

Penning has all of the athletic gifts that you would want from a tackle. He is still a bit raw, and it is arguable whether or not the competition at Northern Iowa helped him refine his game. Too often he leaned on his athletic dominance and there will be questions of how often he can get away with lapses in his technique.

This is a big reason why Penning will be looked at the most this week. His transition, and how he handles the snap-in and snap-out nature of the practice sessions will show what he can bring to the table.
