Cuts and trades the Chicago Bears should look into for 2022

  • Trade Nick Foles to the Colts for pick 236
  • Trade Robert Quinn to the Chargers for pick 195 as well as a conditional 2023 second-round pick (post-June 1)
  • Cut Jeremiah Attaochu
  • Cut Eddie Goldman
  • Cut Danny Trevathan (post-June 1)

Cap Space Available: Roughly $62.1M

Trading Robert Quinn will be tough on the fans, but getting out in front of that contract before he gets too old will be a good thing, as well as getting great compensation. Trevis Gipson also is very good and should be a starter in 2022.

Eddie Goldman also should be a very easy cut with the 4-3 defense coming in, which means that a nose tackle will not be needed as much as it did in the 3-4 defense. Khyris Tonga is deserving of being the nose tackle of Chicago in just year two and in all likelihood, he is just better than Eddie Goldman at this point in Goldman’s career.
