5 Players the Chicago Bears should target in the 2022 NFL Draft

Chicago Bears Possible Target No.3: George Pickens, WR – Georgia
Admittedly, I’m not nearly as big on George Pickens as most Bears fans seem to be. With that said, even with my skepticism, his physicality and competitive fire are undeniable.
Pickens is your prototypical big, bruising receiver. At 6’3 200 pounds, and the play strength to match, Pickens was regularly able to overwhelm defensive backs with his physicality and strength. He also is sneaky quick and can force some missed tackles in space.
The biggest concern with Pickens has been availability. After tearing his ACL last spring, Pickens only appeared in four games for Georgia this year and looked like a shell of his former self when he was on the field. He showed a lot of promise his freshman season, but he has a lot to prove in the pre-draft process.
Some fans may not love the idea of going after another Georgia wideout after how Riley Ridley and Javon Wims turned out. But once you go beyond the helmet scouting, it’s pretty clever that neither of the guys mentioned come close to the prospect that Pickens is. The injury history probably makes him a third-round prospect and I wouldn’t have a problem with the Bears pulling the trigger there, especially if they went defensive back with their first pick.
