The Chicago Bears should be watching Dontario Drummond at the 2022 NFL Combine

Senior

College: Ole Miss

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 215 lbs

Career Numbers: 114 receptions, 1,633 yards, 15 touchdowns

Sticking with a similar theme here, Dontario Drummond is another slot-type receiver that the Bears could find later than anyone else on this list. The redshirt senior is a 3-sport athlete who also played basketball and baseball, so the guy is a real competitor.

One reason Drummond will fall on draft boards is purely because of his age. He is going to be 25 years old as a rookie, which means he could be 28 or 29 by the end of his rookie contract.

Still, Drummond is a good football player. He’s got a big, strong frame that allows him to be a bully after the catch. He’s best suited in the slot where he can be Fields’ security blanket over the middle.

Another nice attribute he possesses is having strong, soft hands. Drummond rarely catches the ball with his body and instead snags it out of the air with only his hands before bringing it in close and taking off.

The Bears could end up finding Drummond as early as the fourth round, but he may drop as low as the seventh, depending upon how the Combine goes for him.
