Chicago Bears draft prospects who dominated Combine: WR Chris Olave

This is the only player on the list where the Bears would need to trade up, and boy would it be something to see them pair Chris Olave with his college quarterback again. Fields and Olave know each other well from their time together at Ohio State, and Olave’s Combine was one for the books.

His most notable drill was the 40-yard dash, where Olave ran a 4.39. The Buckeye wideout stands 6-feet tall and moves very fluid down the field. His routes are smooth, as evidenced by some stout footwork.

Some compare Olave to another former Buckeye, Terry McLaurin. If the Bears ended up with a player of that caliber, he’s worth trading up for, no doubt about it.

Olave not only has the skill set to be a true number one receiver but the chemistry with Fields. This would be a no-brainer if the opportunity presented itself to the Bears.

Last season, Olave went for 65 receptions and 936 receiving yards with 13 touchdowns in a career year at Ohio State. Remember, he shared the field with Garrett Wilson. To put up those numbers alongside Wilson is absolutely gaudy. The Bears need to do plenty of homework on just what it would take to move up and snag this kid.
