NFL comparison for Kellen Diesch

Thanks to Relative Athletic Scores, we were able to find similar players with size and athletic measurements. Then, combined with the similar athletic scores, the best NFL comparison for Kellen Diesch is Brady Christensen based on playing style.

Diesch is a bit taller, and Christensen has a bit longer arms, but both are tall and thinner for their position. They also have very similar athletic skills.

Oddly enough, Christensen was an older prospect coming out of BYU as well. The combination of length, athleticism, and age give us a good NFL comparison. Brady Christensen was selected in the third round, pick 70 overall which should be about where Kellen Diesch is expected to be selected.

The two are similar in playing style as well, mainly in that they struggle with their length and their technique is not quite good enough to offset it. Christensen can have his moments, but the Carolina Panthers wound up having him play all four offensive line positions and realized that he may be best off as an athletic guard.

Still, a player who can jump and compete at four positions, but mainly be looked at as a swing tackle could be a realistic outcome for Kellen Diesch in the NFL.
