Cooper Kupp praises Chicago Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson

While being interviewed by Dan Patrick, Cooper Kupp had nothing but good things to say about Jaylon Johnson. The Rams played the Chicago Bears in Week 1 and pretty much dominated the game, winning 34-14. However, that game still left an impression on Kupp. Dan Patrick asked Kupp which cornerback was the best he played against in 2021.

Kupp had this to say about Johnson:

"These guys might not get as much credit or respect, whatever you want to call it. Early on we played against Jaylon Johnson. I thought he was a guy who would come up and challenge you. You kinda had to have a plan for him. He sticks out as a guy I knew were challenging play in and play out."

Here is the full interview if you want to check it out:

Now, Kupp also had plenty to say about Kenny Moore out of Indianapolis too. The interesting part about that is Moore played for Matt Eberflus while with the Colts. Moore is an undrafted free agent who has proven he should have been drafted at some point in the 2017 NFL Draft. Although the two play slightly different positions — Moore is a nickel corner whereas Jaylon Johnson plays on the outside. I think it is safe to assume that although Johnson only has one career interception, playing under Eberflus, he should see that number increase significantly.
