5. Dieter Eiselen

Dieter Eiselen has a small portion of the fan base still in his corner. Still, his path to the roster is going to be hard, and he may be fortunate to land on the practice squad. Eiselen is another UDFA from the 2020 group.

Ryan Pace liked him, and the Chicago Bears kept him on their practice squad for two years. Still, Ryan Poles has a different taste and has his own lineman in mind. Cody Whitehair is slotted into one guard spot, and the right guard spot is wide open, which helps Eiselen.

Still, Poles signed Dakota Dozier, then drafted Zach Thomas, and both are expected to get work at right guard. Even Ja’Tyre Carter is a draft pick expected to get a chance to move from tackle to guard.

These players will have to earn it and beat out Eiselen, but still, they are players Ryan Poles brought in because he thinks they are better than Eiselen. It is hard to see him climbing that hill, and while he may stick around on the practice squad, Poles may want his guys in that spot too.
