8. Justin Fields, 11th overall

Justin Fields was obviously a tough player to rank. The Chicago Bears traded up for him, and you could argue they are fortunate he fell as far as he did. Still, Mac Jones went later and did have a better rookie season.

Now, Justin Fields is entering year two and has to learn his second NFL offseason. He is seeing his second head coach and even his second GM. There is a chance that Fields is able to hit the ground running, all of these things are for the best for him, and he can continue to rise this list.

At the same time, based on what he has proven, there is plenty of projection heading this way.

The big reason that Fields is sitting so high is that he changed the trajectory of the franchise. It was his play that forced the Bears to move on from Pace, and Nagy and with Fields as the best asset, he helped make the job more enticing to newcomers. It may be Fields helping get free agents next offseason when the team has more money

When most fans look at the roster today, the only thing they get excited about is what Justin Fields can do. The fact that Fields can impact so much off of the field and change the perception and could still end up being the best pick Pace has made is why he has to hit the top 10, even as a first-round pick who struggled as a rookie.
