Chicago Bears who need a dominant training camp: Braxton Jones, OT

Another offensive tackle who needs to show up and dominate in training camp is Braxton Jones. Jones has already moved up the depth chart enough to see six practices at left tackle. As I mentioned, we will need to see just how truthful Matt Eberflus was being when he said that the rotation was not set and this was their way of looking at different combinations. We will see which five players start on the line in a couple of weeks, but don’t count on it staying the same way it starts.

Braxton Jones will also need to prove himself by having a dominant training camp. The left tackle spot is very important and I foresee it coming down to Jones and Larry Borom. I have never seen Teven Jenkins as a left tackle and this is no longer the Ryan Pace regime.

By process of elimination, technically Larry Borom also needs to dominate during training camp, but I believe, although I don’t find him to be better than Teven Jenkins, that Borom is currently safe to make the starting rotation on either the left or the right. It will all come down to which of these two dominates. Should they both dominate is the only way that Borom loses a starting spot.
