6. Tajae Sharpe

When you break down the Chicago Bears depth chart you could make a strong case that Tajae Sharpe is a perfect candidate to be the number six wide receiver. The question from there is whether the Chicago Bears actually want to keep six wide receivers.

After the first preseason game, the answer was an obvious yes. Sharpe made a few big plays and got the fans’ attention. Then, week two saw Sharpe miss practice and miss the game.

All of a sudden Sharpe went from a firm lock to a player right back on the bubble. One thing that could be helping Sharpe is N’Keal Harry. The team will need to keep Harr on the roster, but once they place him on IR, it will free up a spot. Because Sharpe is a veteran they can let him go, and bring him back minutes later.

He is that fringe roster player that would fit perfectly. Still, if he is too hurt himself, or looks like he lost a gear in the preseason finale, the team could just decide to keep five wide receivers and have Harry as number six on the IR. This will all depend on what Sharpe does this week.
