9. Shon Coleman

Shon Coleman has been dealing with injuries and has not played since 2017. However, he has been working as the backup to Braxton Jones recently, and he has played 103 snaps in the preseason this year.

He is likely going to play the entire second half behind Jones in the preseason final as well. That is plenty of tape, and it may be enough to get him to circle back to the practice squad, but more than anything it is helping him show that he could be healthy enough to play again.

As for making the Bears roster, it comes off as unlikely. With Riley Reiff and Larry Borom as roster locks, the question with Coleman is whether the team would keep a fourth tackle.

Coleman only has played left tackle, and both Borom and Reiff have shown that they could be the swing tackle this season, so it seems as though Coleman is playing to be an emergency player on the practice squad more than he is playing to make the roster.
