Chicago Bears training camp is over a week in, and the team is looking really solid entering the 2026 season.

This week, the offense hasn't been 100% smooth in pads, but it continues to get better as camp rolls on. Defensively, they are battling through some injuries, so it is hard to determine where they are at for the moment. To the defense's credit, though, they are taking advantage of the offense struggling and having some solid performances.

Looking at the individual players, four appear to be separating themselves from the pack, and three are slowly seeing their jobs fade away. Which players are taking control of camp, and which ones could be looking for a new job soon?

Which Bears players are domining at training camp and who is fading away?

Austin Booker, DE - Dominating

The Bears needed a defensive end beside Montez Sweat to have a great camp. Booker is living up to offseason expectations, as the franchise has been looking for him to break out in 2026. While it sounds like Dayo Odeyingbo might be moving interior, Booker could be locking down the starting defensive end job.

Scotty Miller, WR - Fading

It feels like a lot of receivers are getting attention at training camp, including Kaden Davis. Miller's camp, though, has been very quiet. For someone that some felt could make the roster, he might need a great preseason to even be in the conversation, because right now he is on the outside looking in.

Garrett Bradbury, C - Dominating

While rookie second-round pick Logan Jones is the future at center, Bradbury is owning the starting job right now. Bradbury has received a ton of praise from everyone at camp for taking command of the offensive line and holding down the job. Look for him to continue having a great training camp, which was much-needed since losing Drew Dalman to retirement.

Terell Smith, CB - Fading

Smith hasn't had many memorable plays at training camp, which doesn't mean he is going to lose his job. In fact, with all the injuries in the secondary, he might even make the roster. The problem is that he's not even competing for the CB2 or slot corner jobs, which says a lot more about him than the other corners on this team.

Luther Burden III, WR - Dominating

Bears fans expected it, but the Burden hype train has been going since the beginning of the offseason. Burning up corners and showing off that speed, Burden is already having a great camp and proving he's the right man for the WR2 job. There might even be a day in the near future where he could be the number one receiver in this offense.

Roschon Johnson, RB - Fading

Johnson is fading into the abyss because... he's not being mentioned in any reports. Even with Kyle Monangai missing time, it was Salmon Ahmed who got the reps and showed his worth as RB3. The longer training camp goes, the easier it is for the Bears to let Johnson go at the end of August.

Caleb Williams, QB - Dominating

Of course, Williams has to be on this list, as he is off to a way better start than last training camp. While there have been days with miscommunications on offense and turnovers, for the most part, Williams is right on the money with his throws. Running back D'Andre Swift called Williams the most improved player at camp, so that should be enough to know that he's ready for an MVP-caliber season.
