The final day of the 2025 NFL Draft has arrived.
It was a surprisingly active night for the Bears on Friday. The team wound up with three second-round picks after trading down at selection No. 41 with the Buffalo Bills. With the three second-round selections, the Bears selected wide receiver Luther Burden at pick No. 39, offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo at pick No. 56, and defensive lineman Shemar Turner.
In the case of Burden and Turner, it was clear that the Bears were drafting the best player available. Burden, depending on who you asked, had a first-round grade as a wide receiver. Meanwhile, had Turner's 2024 collegiate season not been impacted by injury, he likely would have found his way in the first round.
Entering the final day of the draft, barring any trades, the Bears will be making three selections. The Bears have the No. 109 pick in the fourth round, No. 148 pick in the seventh round, and No. 233 pick in the seventh round.
4 targets for the Bears on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft
1. Dylan Sampson, RB
It has been surprising that the Bears haven't addressed the running back position yet. It would be a sign that the team feels comfortable with D'Andre Swift's spot on the roster. Assuming the Bears still want to add a complement to Swift, Sampson could be an ideal target given his ability to run in between the tackles.
2. Bradyn Swinson, EDGE
LSU's Bradyn Swinson has the profile of the type of player Dennis Allen loves from his edge rushers. Even with the signing of Dayo Odeyingbo, the Bears likely still will target a developmental pass rusher on the final day of the draft.
3. Malachi Moore, Safety
The Bears will need a safety after the 2025 season. Jaquan Brisker is in the final year of his rookie deal, and Kevin Byard will also be a free agent after the season. Adding a safety such as Moore would give the Bears a pathway to finding the answer at the position for the long term.
4. Danny Stutsman, LB
Eveb after inking T.J. Edwards to a two-year contract extension, the Bears likely will look to add to their linebacker depth on the final day of the draft. Danny Stutsman could be an ideal replacement to Jack Sanborn on the roster.
