Sunday's Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys matchup looked promising for rookie tight end Colston Loveland before it ended in the worst way possible.

During the game, Loveland had a massive 31-yard completion in the game, but his time in the game wouldn't last long. He would suffer a hip injury and was knocked out for the rest of the game.

The good news is that the injury doesn't appear to be majorly serious. A source told ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter that Loveland's hip injury is "not believed to be serious and he is expected to have a chance to play Sunday at the Raiders."

Great news for the Bears as they avoid disaster with Loveland's injury

Bears fans got to see a small spark of what Loveland could potentially be with his big-time 31-yard catch and looked to be poised for a career game. The injury cut him short of being able to see it all the way through.

There's been criticism for Loveland and Cole Kmet not being involved enough in the offense. Bears head coach Ben Johnson owned up to that last week as well.

In three games played, Loveland has just three receptions for 43 yards on six targets. Just one of his three catches went for a first down and that came on Sunday. He's lucky that one play is padding his stats up a bit.

Even with Johnson's declaration of getting the tight ends more involved, Kmet only had one catch for 10 yards and a touchdown. It appears some work will need to be done to get the tight ends more involved.

The injury reports this week will be interesting to see how much Loveland practices. That could determine how many snaps he gets on Sunday against Las Vegas.

All signs are pointing towards Loveland being back against the Raiders, and that's all that matters to Bears fans after picking up a massive 31-14 win over the Cowboys in Week 3.
