Oh man, do the Chicago Bears have a lot of injuries again, and even more defensive players who were on the sidelines for their first practice ahead of the Week 12 showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Six players did not practice for the Bears, including all five who had started for the defense this year. Those players include Jaquan Brisker (shoulder), Kevin Byard III (rest), Tremaine Edmunds (groin), T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring), Grady Jarrett (rest), and Noah Sewell (elbow).
An additional seven players were limited in practice for the Bears. The two big names on there are the players who recently had their 21-day practice windows open: Jaylon Johnson (groin) and Kyler Gordon (calf).

Massive injury concerns for the Bears with some sprinkled good news
Let's get the bad out of the way. Guys like Brisker, Byard, and Jarrett have been common appearances on the injury report, resting or sitting out for the Wednesday practices and practicing the rest of the week, so it's cause to go crazy for them. Edmunds has been a key figure on this defense, and with Edwards most likely out, Edmunds and Sewell need to find their way onto the practice field in the next two days, or the Bears might be in trouble at linebacker.
Two names not on the injury list that have been commonly on it were receivers DJ Moore and Rome Odunze. Over the last few weeks, they have been resting on Wednesdays and slowly working their way back to playing, but this week seems to be good news for them.
The big story is Johnson and Gordon back on the practice field on a limited basis. It still feels unlikely they will play in the Steelers game, but there is a chance they could sneak into the game.

Not a great way to start the week for the Bears, which seems to be a common comment made each week with hopes that it'll look better in the next two days.
