One more game for the Chicago Bears players to prove that they should be on the roster before tough decisions need to be made about cutting players.

The Bears' preseason finale against the Kansas City Chiefs will feature some great storylines that will impact the future of the franchise by either making the roster or how much momentum is being carried into the regular season. There are some big questions that need to be answered as well by the end of the game.

Can Caleb Williams make it two consecutive weeks of great play?

Williams dazzled in last week's shutout win over the Buffalo Bills 38-0. He completed six of 10 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown in two drives. The best part of his performance was how decisive he was with throwing the football and how comfortable he looked in the pocket.

The Bears are hoping for a similar performance in this game. Despite the lofty season goal of a 70% completion percentage set by Bears head coach Ben Johnson, all that doesn't matter, as progress is all that is important. One thing Williams needs to do well is avoid the pre-snap penalties that have been hurting the team hard in camp this week.

Will Braxton Jones cement himself as LT1?

All indications in the last practice for the Bears were that Jones was taking all the first-team reps at left tackle. That is big news, especially with Theo Benedet, Ozzy Trapilo, and Kiran Amegadjie all having taken first-team reps at some point during training camp.

This is now Jones' job to lose and must prove that he has earned the job against a solid Chiefs defensive line. It has been a shaky preseason for Jones, but one good performance will be enough for him to land the job in Week 1. For now.

Which under-the-radar Bears cornerback can secure their spot on 53-man roster?

The tsunami of injuries in the secondary has forced the Bears to make multiple adjustments to the secondary. Terell Smith is out for the season, and Jaylon Johnson is still recovering from his injury. The good news is that Kyler Gordon returned to practice this week, and Zah Frazier is back in the building after being gone throughout training camp.

One of the defensive backs to watch out for is Tre Flowers who has had a solid preseason with three pass deflections and could make his mark on the roster. Josh Blackwell has been more of a special teams guy over the years, but has a chance to move up on the depth chart with another good game.
