Two weeks of preseason and entering the fifth week of training camp, the Chicago Bears' roster still has some lingering questions to answer.
Everyone is trying to figure out who is healthy at cornerback and which reserves are going to make the roster. There are some interesting battles going on at running back with multiple players playing well in preseason.
Who is going to end up making the 53-man roster for the Bears? That's the biggest mystery still trying to be figured out.
Chicago Bears 53-man roster prediction after the second week of 2025 preseason
Quarterback (3): Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum
The QB2 job might be over with Bagent having another outstanding performance against the Bills. Austin Reed had a solid performance himself, but Keenum looks to be a lock at QB3 now, leaving Reed to make the practice squad.
Running Back (4): D'Andre Swift, Roschon Johnson, Kyle Monangai, Ian Wheeler
Wheeler had another solid game as he ran for 80 and two scores against Buffalo while newcomer Brittain Brown made some noise himself with 73 yards and a touchdown. Monangai was out with an injury, but should still be a lock as RB3. The deciding factor is if Wheeler can sneak in as the number four back.
Wide Receiver (5): DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Olamide Zaccheaus, Luther Burden III, Devin Duvernay
Tyler Scott made an argument for the team to carry six receivers after his 54-yard and one-touchdown performance, but the receivers seem to be locked with the top five. If a sixth receiver is included, that could bring an interesting conversation between Scott, Jahdae Walker, Samori Toure, JP Richardson, and Maurice Alexander.
Tight End (3): Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland, Stephen Carlson
No major changes at tight end as Kmet and Loveland are the leaders. TE3 is the bigger question, but Carlson still seems to have the slight edge.
Offensive Line (10): Ozzy Trapilo, Joe Thuney, Drew Dalman, Jonah Jackson, Darnell Wright, Braxton Jones, Kiran Amegadjie, Ryan Bates, Luke Newman, Theo Benedet
If the offensive line drops to nine or eight linemen, Amegadjie might be in trouble with having a roster spot. The Bears might have to play it safe with multiple linemen, with all the inconsistent play at tackle.
Defensive Line (9): Montez Sweat, Grady Jarrett, Andrew Billings, Dayo Odeyingbo, Gervon Dexter, Austin Booker, Shemar Turner, Zacch Pickens, Daniel Hardy
The Bears' defensive line seems to be solid where they are at tight now with these nine. Booker has been the star of the preseason and shows no signs of slowing down.
Linebacker (5): T.J. Edwards, Tremaine Edmunds, Ruben Hyppolite II, Amen Ogbongbemiga, Noah Sewell
Also no real movement at linebacker. Hyppolite has put together two straight solid games at linebacker and is still battling with Sewell for playing time and getting that third starting linebacker spot.
Cornerback (7): Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, Tyrique Stevenson, Terell Smith, Nahshon Wright, Josh Blackwell, Zah Frazier
With all the injuries going on with the Bears, this is the biggest question mark. Smith got hurt in the Bills game with three others on the list having not practiced in weeks. Anybody's guesses would be solid at this point because who knows who will be on the final roster.
Safety (4): Kevin Byard III, Jaquan Brisker, Elijah Hicks, Jonathan Owens
Despite the durability issues at cornerback, Byard and Brisker has been great at camp. The safeties are solid with the four listed.

Special Teams (3): Cairo Santos, Torey Taylor, Scott Daily
Santos keeps kicking the ball well, so the special teams seems set here as well.
