Chicago Bears fans were hoping to go into the weekend feeling good about wide receiver Rome Odunze for the Week 15 matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Instead, it will be filled with anxiety.
The Bears will be without cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin) and running back Travis Homer (ankle) for the Browns game. Gordon's status was not a surprise, as Bears head coach Ben Johnson had concerns about him reinjuring it before the Green Bay Packers game.
As for Odunze, he is officially questionable with the foot injury. He was left off the active roster against the Packers as he missed the first game of his career. Here's the rest of the injury report:
12/12/2025 Bears Injury Report
- Kyler Gordon, CB (Groin, Out)
- Travis Homer, RB (Ankle, Out)
- Rome Odunze, WR (Foot, Questionable)
- Ruben Hyppolite II, LB (Shoulder)
- Jaylon Johnson, CB (Groin)
- Tyrique Stevenson, CB (Hip)
- Olamide Zaccheaus, WR (Hamstring)
What the injuries mean for the Bears against the Browns
Gordon being out is a hit to the secondary, but with Stevenson back, they have enough depth to survive. C.J. Gardner-Johnson has been filling in at the slot position for Gordon for part of the season and could continue to play there.
At the outside cornerback position, it appears Johnson is ready to roll, but the question will be whether Stevenson or Nahshon Wright gets the nod on the other side. Wright has been playing well with five interceptions this season, so it would be a surprise not to see him with the starters, but the Bears will rotate cornerbacks with Johnson still easing back in.
The offense will be interesting to watch, depending on how Odunze does. Bears fans can be encouraged that Odunze practiced all week, even if it was limited, which might bode well for them having Odunze for the game.

Chicago will have to wait two more days to hear the status of Odunze, but with a matchup against the 3-10 Browns, it might be smarter to keep him out.
