After some really tough decisions with the 53-man roster, the Chicago Bears have shown their initial practice squad list.
Most of the players on the list were in training camp with the Bears and are back to help the team in 2026. Here's the full list of players who are on it.

Bears share initial practice squad roster after 53-man roster cutdowns
It's certainly great to see Ahmed back on the team, even if it isn't on the active roster. He had a terrific training camp and preseason with the team and proved that he still has the speed and versatility to be a great back in the NFL. There might be questions about him not making the active roster over Roschon Johnson, but Ahmed might see the field at some point.
Miller's return to the Bears was a welcome addition. He had a nice preseason with the team, but the roster was too crowded for Chicago to carry more than five wide receivers. All those defensive injuries made it tough for the Bears to do more with their receivers.
It was good to see another wide receiver, Kaden Davis, make the practice squad as well. He was a star at training camp and preseason but fell victim to the same injury problems Miller had, as the defense took over the roster.
One interesting move was letting go of Davenport, who was on the roster for about a week before being cut. He is back in practice and will add depth at defensive end.
There were other reported signings to the practice squad:

- Zavier Scott, RB
Those were not apart of the offical NFL wire for signings, so those could be coming in the near future. Scott is the interesting name frmo that list since he is coming in from the Minnesota Vikings. He could end up being an interesting piece to the backfield if any injuries occur besides the Kyle Monangai one the team is dealing with.

This may not be the end for the Bears' practice squad, as they make small adjustments to the 53-man roster. Bears fans could be seeing more moves coming soon enough.
