Well, the second Chicago Bears injury report for Week 8 certainly has plenty to review for fans and is enough to stress them out.
There were three new additions to the injury report as starting left guard Joe Thuney was given a rest day. One familiar face from the beginning of the year has returned to the report, with cornerback Kyler Gordon (groin/calf) being limited in practice. A new name on there is linebacker Tremaine Edmunds (ankle), who was also limited.
The Bears had five players not practice, including tight end Cole Kmet, who is dealing with a back injury, and cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, who has a shoulder injury. Also joining them in not practicing were Thuney, running back Roschon Johnson (back), and left tackle Braxton Jones (knee).
If Bears fans need good news, wide receiver DJ Moore (hip) and running back D'Andre Swift (groin) both practiced today for Chicago. Over the past week, they had been in and out of practice with their injuries, but still played in the Bears' 26-14 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 7.

What to unpack from the laundry list of injuries
For the players who were fully practicing, Santos getting back into it can only mean Jake Moody's time as the starter might be almost over. Keep in mind that the week of the Washington Commanders game, Santos was also fully participating in practice and was still ruled out.
Jarrett being a full participant in practice is massive for Chicago. He has not played since the Dallas Cowboys game in Week 3, and the Bears could use his help in stopping the run.
The Bears' secondary can't seem to stay healthy, but it's good that at least Gordon and Wright are out on the field. Stevenson not being out there can only mean that Chicago is now on the verge of being out of its top two cornerbacks on the depth chart.
Going back to Gordon, his and Edmunds' injuries are a bit of a concern, but at least they are still practicing. Gordon has already missed significant time and is needed, while the Bears already had to survive without T.J. Edwards for several games and don't want to do the same with their other ace linebacker.
Kmet's injury will only open the door more for rookie first-round pick Colston Loveland to pick up the slack at tight end. It might be the rookie's best shot to get more targets and steal a job from Kmet after all the attention the young tight end has gotten this week.
