On his latest Bears Banter podcast, Bill Zimmerman had the opportunity to sit down with one of the most popular players in recent memory, the viral sensation Anthony "Spice" Adams. He played the last five years of his nine-year NFL career in the Windy City, but his popularity has grown since his retirement. These daye the comic, actor, and host has been tackling stains with Tide, as he explains on the appearance.

But Bill and Spice dish more than just soap on the podcast, they also talk Caleb Williams, Chicago's fantastic defense, and about big guys as ball carriers and possibly scoring touchdowns.

Spice was especially fired up about the prospects of Caleb Williams.

“He’s doing a great job right now, and he’s only going to continue to get better,” Adams said on the podcast. “He hasn’t had any interceptions the last two games, you have to keep building on the things that he’s great at. He’s great outside the pocket so get him on the run... get him doing sprint outs, get him doing bootlegs, get him where he’s moving around and having fun. I think fans in Chicago should be excited about Caleb Williams because I think before it’s all said and done, I think he will probably become one of the all-time greats.”

Adams played for Lovie Smith, whose coaching roots can be traced to current Bears head coach Matt Eberflus. The principles they teach are very similar. Defensive coordinator Eric Washington was an assistant under Lovie during some of Adams' time as a Bear, and Adams is impressed at the growth and development of Chicago's defensive line.

“It's a testament to what Coach Eric Washington is doing. I had some time with Coach Rod Marinelli, and when Coach Marinelli was in, he brought Coach Washington in, and he taught him everything. And it's paying off. So when I go out there to practice, and I see the defensive linemen running, I see them working on their pass rush. I see them using their hands. I see them shedding. I see them doing everything we used to do when I was coached by Rod Marinelli and Coach Washington.”

Spice also talks about Doug Kramer's use as a fullback, discusses his own days with the ball in his hands, and tells a great story about the Keith Traylor interception that he recently shared with Charles Tillman and Jerry Azumah.
