Top injury storylines for the Packers in Week 5
The biggest injury storyline for the Packers, this week, has been the loss of linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, whom the Packers will now be without the rest of the season after he tore his Achilles.
Cornerback Brandon Cissee and running back Chris Brooks were last labeled as more of day-to-day with neck and ankle injuries, respectively.
Offensive lineman Aaron Banks has lingering knee and toe issues.
Top storylines for Bears vs. Packers Week 5
Tyson Bagent gets his second start
Ben Johnson already made it clear that Tyson Bagent would start his second-straight game in the absence of Caleb Williams. His performance against the Jets was largely positive, although you could tell there were some jitters at times. A few of the throws looked erratic and irresponsible.
But, getting a second week of preparation as the starter and knowing the gravity of this matchup, Bagent will be expected to play well.
The Bears' defense has to show up on the road
For three weeks now, the Bears' defense has been largely lights-out. There was the first half against Philadelphia that could have been way worse than it was, had it not been for the Eagles shooting themselves in the foot. But, otherwise, Chicago's defense has looked fantastic.
Now, this has all been at home and against the Vikings in the rain, a broken Eagles offense and the Jets.
Can this defense travel and play well on the road? That's a big question.
If Chicago's defense comes away looking good again, on the road and making Jordan Love look bad, then fans can start to buy into the unit even more. They're currently the third-ranked defense in yards given up per game (282.4) and fourth in scoring defense (16.3).
The Packers' 32nd-ranked run game puts it all on Jordan Love
Green Bay ranks dead last in the NFL in rushing and they have zero answer without Josh Jacobs. Whether it's been MarShawn Lloyd, Chris Brooks or Kaleb Johnson, the offense hasn't been able to get any of them going.
This matchup is going to be squarely on the shoulders of quarterback Jordan Love, from the Packers' perspective. Green Bay cannot run the football, and it certainly doesn't help that the guys up front have played poorly as well.
Packers' offensive line is collectively the worst in the NFL
This is an interesting one after how many years Bears fans had to sit and complain about Chicago's offensive line, years ago, and watched as the Packers picked it apart game after game. But now, the tables have turned. Green Bay's offensive line has been abysmal.
Not counting Week 4 against the Buccaneers, the Packers' three-game start to the season was the literal worst in the league, per PFF. Now, say what you want about PFF, but this passes the eye test. A 41.7 pass blocking grade and 78.9 pass-blocking efficiency grade were both the worst in the league.
They've tried bringing in veteran help, which could give them a lift, sure. But, the Bears' defense is humming right now and should have no problem generating pressure on Jordan Love -- which, again, helps maintain the narrative that this game is all on Love for the Packers.

Must-see quotes from both sides ahead of Bears-Packers
Luther Burden is ready for Green Bay
Luther Burden understood the Bears-Packers rivalry from Day 1 and he's already locked in. From his press conference with the media on Monday, we were able to secure one of the better quotes you'll see or hear in a while:
"We just want to beat them really bad and make them quit."
Matt LaFleur isn't engaging in trash talk
During one of his segments with the Green Bay media, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about why he won't have some fun like Ben Johnson does with this rivalry. It isn't any surprise to see how many Packers fans criticize LaFleur's cowering response:
“Because this game is about players and so we’ll keep it about the players."
Ben Johnson moved quickly past the win over the Jets
After addressing the players in the locker room following Chicago's win over the Jets, Ben Johnson got right to the point:
"You guys know what next week is? Enough said."

Kyle Monangai gets raw and real about the Bears' league-leading rushing attack
In talking about how well the Bears have run the football this year, Kyle Monangai kept it real:
"We all know that we're gonna run the run football. The other team knows it. Everyone watching at home and in the stadium knows it. We just say, 'you gotta come stop us.'"
