Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson gets the signature win he's been looking for in his first season with the team.

At Soldier Field in Week 12, the Bears won a bit of a shootout against the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-28. In a game that featured six defensive starters out and two more knocked out. Johnson led his team to another win.

The victory now puts the Bears at 8-3 on the season. After starting the year 0-2, Chicago has won eight of their last nine games, with the Steelers being the first team this season with a winning record that the Bears have beaten.

Ben Johnson is making Matt Eberflus look even worse with each game

Bears fans, remember Matt Eberflus? You know, the guy who coached the team the past three years. Well, Johnson again is running laps over Eberflus in just one season with the Bears.

In three seasons with Chicago, Eberflus went 14-32 as the head coach but did not get to finish his third and final season, as he was fired after the Thanksgiving Day disaster. Eberflus' best season as the Bears' head coach was 2023, when they went 7-10.

That means only one thing to Bears fans? Johnson once again did something that Eberflus never did during his time in Chicago.

Johnson's eight wins are already more in one season than Eberflus ever did in his three years with the Bears. It really put things in perspective.

Eberflus keeps looking worse and worse compared to Johnson. It all comes down to Johnson changing the team's culture. This Bears team has learned how to win the close games that Eberflus' squads never did.

Chicago fans are grateful to have Johnson on their side and helping them change the course of the franchise. The Bears are one step closer to a postseason appearance, something Eberflus wished he could even get close to being at.
