The Colston Loveland hype train has finally arrived at Chicago Bears OTAs right behind Luther Burden's, and fans are pumped to get on it.

All indications are that Loveland is looking really solid at practice, with everyone expecting him to take an even bigger leap in Year 2. Bears head coach Ben Johnson was the first one to start up the Burden buzz, and now he is the ringleader for Loveland's as well.

“He’s one of the most consistent players I’ve ever been around, and that’s saying a lot," Johnson said. "I'm really happy with where he is at right now. We are able to take the route tree to the next level."

While the start of the 2025 season was forgetful for Loveland, he ended things strong as the leading receiver on the team with 713 yards and six touchdowns. In fact, Caleb Williams targets Loveland at least 10 times in the final four games of the season, including the playoffs.

Loveland is carrying so much momentum going into the 2026 season that he is already being considered one of the top 10 tight ends in the NFL. It's quite the drastic change from when everyone thought he was a bust after the first half of last season.

Year 2 shouldn't be any different, but he might get more targets his way with DJ Moore out of the picture in the passing game. Williams is going to lean on his Big 3 in the passing game between Loveland, Burden, and Rome Odunze.

At OTAs, Loveland has been looking good, and while he may not be making the highlight plays that rookie Zavion Thomas and Burden are making, he's still going to make an impact. There was one clip of Williams connecting with Loveland on a big play at OTAs that caught Bears fans' attention and was enough to show they still have that rapport.

Bears still have three months before the regular season begins, but everything is looking good for Loveland with his stock only going up by the day.
