This season has been incredible for Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams as he made major strides in Year 2 as the face of the franchise.

Williams broke the franchise record for passing yards in a season and was able to lead the Bears to their first playoff win in 15 years. Bears head coach Ben Johnson gave more insight into what has made this season different for Williams and how he's improved as a football player.

"I appreciate his approach," Johnson said via 670 The Score's Chris Emma. "When he comes in the building, he’s all about football. He loves this game. He desperately wants to be good. He wants to be great. He wants to be one of the best to ever play. I think that has stood out to me from Day 1, and he’s going to be dedicated to achieve that goal. It’s our job as coaches to help him get there, but I love how he’s wired as a person, as a competitor. I think he’s going to continue to get better in this league. He’s a big reason why we’re where we are today, been able to make all these plays that he has over the course of the season, and I think he’s going to be leading this franchise for a long time."

Caleb Williams is the franchise QB Bears fans have waited for

The clutch gene in Williams is what makes him different from any quarterback who has come through the franchise. He has won seven games this season, leading a game-winning drive in three of them, including one in which his team came back from 10 or more points down.

Williams is truly a special talent with the type of throws he can make as a passer. From his threading the needle to DJ Moore for a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns to the Jahdae Walker touchdown against the Green Bay Packers to tie the game in Week 16, Williams can make any throw possible.

During the offseason, though, Williams will need to work on his accuracy and get that back up. He was under 60% this season, which is a dip from his rookie year, but that comes with time and development.

This season has shown that Williams has taken to Johnson's coaching well and improved because of it. Just wait until he fixes the accuracy issues, and all of a sudden, he might transform into the best quarterback in the NFL.
