Just when Chicago Bears fans thought they could sit back and relax with the injury report, new news came in that will get some to start worrying a bit.

On the final Bears injury report before their NFC Divisional Round matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, cornerback Nick McCloud has been ruled out with a groin injury. Two other players were listed as questionable for the game: linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin (back) and wide receiver Rome Odunze (foot).

Here is how the rest of the injury report looked like for Chicago:

1/16/2026 Bears Injury Report

  • Nick McCloud, CB (Groin, Out)
  • Jalen Reeves-Maybin, LB (Back, Questionable)
  • Rome Odunze, WR (Foot, Questionable)
  • DJ Moore, WR (Knee)
  • C.J. Gardner-Johnson, CB (Concussion)
  • Braxton Jones, OT (Knee)
  • Amen Ogbongbemiga, LB (Concussion)
  • Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, DL (Concussion)

Chicago Bears fans back to worrying about Rome Odunze

It's interesting that Odunze practiced fully in the final workout of the week for the first time this week and is still listed as questionable. They did the same thing with Moore, and he has no injury designation.

The likelihood of Odunze missing this playoff game seems unlikely, but Bears fans have been down this road before with him. Chicago can only hope he will be on the field against the Rams.

In other injury news, McCloud is out, but the good news is that Gardner-Johnson is officially back, as the Bears' plan under defensive coordinator Dennis Allen is to play Kyler Gordon and Gardner-Johnson at nickel. Chicago still has Jaylon Jones, who will serve as the third nickel corner on the depth chart in place of McCloud.

For the offensive line, Jones is going to be active, and that status is coming at the right time with Ozzy Trapilo out for the season after his injury in the 31-27 win over the Green Bay Packers. Theo Benedet is expected to be the starter at left tackle with Jones backing him up.

Bears fans will have to wait on Odunze, but if he can, Chicago should be in good shape against the Rams to continue their Super Bowl hopes.
