There are those who are not yet true believers in Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, but with every start this season, he is looking more and more like the guy.

Williams didn't blow anyone away with his play against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 11, but he, for the fifth time this year, led a game-winning drive as the Bears took down the men in purple 19-17. NFL Spin Zone writer Lou Scataglia released his latest QB rankings with Williams landing at number 14 after yet another solid start.

"Caleb Williams has been pretty amazing this year. Sure, he’s not really lighting up the stat sheet, but he’s honestly doing a lot of what Bo Nix has done - playing well when it matters the most.

Ben Johnson clearly has the skills to be a head coach in the NFL, and I would be shocked if Caleb Williams was not the Bears’ long-term answer at the position. This has been a great season for the Bears, and even if they went one-and-done in the playoffs, it would still be a great year."

Williams is earning his respect as one of the top QBs in the NFL

This season, the numbers have not been spectacular for Williams, but still putting up respectable stats. He's completed 59.7% of his passes for 2,329 yards and 13 touchdowns to four interceptions in 10 games. Williams has also added 272 rushing yards and three touchdowns.

The major concern with Williams this season is that he keeps dropping after his head coach, Ben Johnson, set a specific goal for Williams to hit 70% before the season started. Everyone has harped on the accuracy, and that criticism has been fair.

Where everyone should be praising the young quarterback is his ability to protect the football and not put it in harm's way. His career interception rate of 1.1% would be an NFL record.
