It's not every day that you win your fourth-straight game yet have to answer multiple questions about glaring mistakes, but that is exactly what Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had to do after the team beat the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.

Fresh off a four-game winning streak, Williams stepped to the podium to meet with Bears media following the 26-14 victory and, along with a few other topics, he was asked to speak mostly about his mental errors.

First, on the missed throws against the Saints, Williams wasn't shy:

"I missed about five or six on the run, which is extremely frustrating for me ... if I hit those, nothing's said."

He isn't wrong. If Williams hit a handful of passes which sailed a little off-target, the media wouldn't be asking these questions.

Caleb Williams continues to own his mistakes during Bears' winning streak

For the most part, Williams has played good football over the past four games. It's clear that having Ben Johnson has done wonders as opposed to the laughable staff put together during his rookie campaign in 2024.

Despite Williams' solid play, though, he did have a handful of poor throws against the Saints, one of which ended up being an interception. Thankfully, the Bears ran the ball well and went for over 220 yards on the ground. Still, Williams didn't shy away from taking blame for his mistakes.

"Guys got open. I think I missed. I think that's what it boils down to," he said.

Now, the other issue on this day happened to be three or four botched snaps between Williams and center Drew Dalman. And, when asked about those snaps, Williams very well could have placed the blame elsewhere if he wanted to.

Instead, the second-year pro shouldered 100 percent of it.

"I can take that blame. It comes down to cadence. It comes down to everyone on the same page ... it comes down to communication. It comes down to knowing what we have to do," he explained.

Here's the special thing about this game. Williams didn't have his best day. He was off on a few throws. The snaps were an issue. Blame the pre-game rain if you'd like, but Spencer Rattler didn't have any problems with the snap on his side. Regardless of how you want to spin it, Williams wasn't going to blame shift.

He took it all on the chin like a seasoned veteran. Whether it was the snap issues, his interception or the missed throws, Williams knows it was on him, and that's admirable.
