The Chicago Bears have not been making many splashes signings, but they have been doing a great job in building the depth on the roster with another one coming in for them
As part of multiple moves being made, the Bears announced that they are bringing back offensive lineman Jordan McFadden as one of five players being re-signed. It has since been reported that McFadden is locked in on a one-year deal to stay with the team in 2026.
During the regular season, McFadden played in just seven games, mostly on special teams. He did play a massive role in the playoffs as he started at left guard in the NFC Divisional Round game against the Los Angeles Rams, while Joe Thuney got bumped over to left tackle to replace the injured Ozzy Trapilo. McFadden was praised for his playoff performance, which helped him return to the team for the 2026 campaign.
Jordan McFadden is back with the Bears
The Bears' offensive line is in an interesting place where they were a top-five unit in 2025, but now have so many questions surrounding them. Center Drew Dalman has retired and has since been replaced by Garrett Bradbury from the New England Patriots via trade. Trapilo is expected to miss a good portion of the season with his injury, opening the door for Braxton Jones to be re-signed and Jedrick Wills Jr. to be signed from free agency.
At least for the Bears, they will have their All-Pro selections Joe Thuney and Darnell Wright alongside Jonah Jackson back for another season as the starters. McFadden is included in a solid lineup of linemen coming back to help with the depth of the line.

The return of McFadden won't be national news, but it was important for the Bears to make it. General manager Ryan Poles is trying to retain as many of the core backups as possible, with McFadden being near the top of that list.
